Dr. Kelsey Snow was born and raised in BC, where she completed her Bachelor of Science with distinction in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University. Dr. Snow graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo Optometry program, where she was awarded the Ontario Association of Optometry Award for “Excellence in Patient Management,” as well as the CooperVision Contact Lens Award. Her final year of externships included a term at OMNI Eye Specialists in Baltimore, MD, where she worked closely with ophthalmologists specialized in glaucoma, retina, anterior segment, and oculoplastics.
Dr. Snow is passionate about giving back to the less privileged and has participated in two optometric service trips to date (Paraguay in 2013 with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, and Jamaica in 2015 at the Foundation for International Self Help). Locally, she has volunteered her time giving eye exams at Burnaby Homeless Connect. She looks forward to future outreach opportunities, internationally and in her local community.
She lives with her husband in Vancouver and is enjoying being back on the west coast, where she can spend time outdoors bike riding, hiking, skiing, and running with her dog, Maxi.
